You Forgot About Us
How did this happen?
Was it always this way?
How could you not see,
Your own moral decay?
There are a bunch of people like us,
That you just don't see.
You have forgotten us,
Your children and misery.
So what can you tell me,
Sitting there now,
To make you feel better,
About your empty vows?
How could you give up,
On your children so quick,
When they didn't make,
The choices you'd pick?
You just turn away,
Without looking back,
And blame us for all,
The guidance we lack.
So look at me now,
Straight in the eye.
Explain to me,
Why you had to lie.
You told me once,
You'd love me forever
And always be there
To make me
There's a broken angel,
With bleeding black wings,
Crouched in the shadows,
Hiding from evil things.
She's cold, frightened,
And completely lost,
She gave up her freedom,
At a terrible cost.
She made a deal with a demon.
Thinking she was doing the right thing,
But she should have known,
The mischief he'd bring.
He smiled and carefully agreed,
"Sure, I can help,
I'll get you exactly what you need."
He gave her what she asked for,
But went a little too far.
He did what she asked,
But in a way that caught her in a jar.
Now the poor angel,
Sits broken on the floor.
She's a slave to a demon,
Who keep's her behind a locked do
Somewhere in the night,
A little girl cries.
Somewhere in the dark,
A little boy hides.
Somewhere in hell,
A lost angel tries,
To sort through the confusion,
And so many lies.
Somewhere on earth,
A child's faith dies,
At the hands of someone,
They once thought wise.
Somewhere in the world,
An abused wife sighs,
And cleans up the house,
Under her husband's careful eyes.
Somewhere in the rain,
Two lovers say their final goodbyes,
While one walks away,
And the other silently dies.
Somewhere out there,
A teenager looks inside,
Of himself to find,
Answers he hopes will arise.
And somewhere in me,
I find to my surprise,
A

Perfect Family Picture
We look happy, don't we?
One big happy family,
Sitting there smiling.
You would never guess,
That things weren't perfect.
You would never think,
That the beautiful mother,
With love shining in her eyes,
Would forget who her children were.
You would never presume,
That the strong father in the picture,
With his confident visage,
Would forget his wife and children one day,
And not come home.
You would never dream,
That the little girl in the picture,
With hope and dreams glistening in her eyes,
Would be cast aside and hated,
For having different views on life,
Not with her constant smile.
You would never know,
That the hand
